Dr. Erna Wong's Community is focused on EARTH TRUST, dedicated to Children, addressing shelter, food insecurity, the planet’s eco-system and all it’s essential plants and animals.

With a team of educators, philanthropists, and alternative healing professionals, focus is on ‘Foundation4Success’ for orphans, foster children, special needs children, building communities that revolve around a true sustainable planet where children learn to help care for the elderly and veterans while in return the children are taught values, respect and various skills such as art, dance, literature, theatre, music, languages, sports, gardening, cooking, mechanics, and much more.

Dr. Wong's passion for children goes beyond her extensive 30 years as a pediatrician, as well as being a mother of 9 and grandmother of 15. The aim is to promote wellness, education, self-esteem, and confidence among children. She can relate from her own childhood experiences; at age 5 or 6, she was hungry and poor in Taiwan and knew that to survive, she needed nutrition. She remembers getting hot chickens from the garbage can of the restaurant next to her home. Eventually blessed to be able to go to America, where she was thrilled to eat bread and !butter, and one of her favorites, a BLT - simple luxuries

Her volunteer work includes Haiti, the Dominican Republic, providing medical care for children in orphanage outreach as well as teaching neonatal resuscitation in Colombia. All this while serving in many roles in her church, in scouting, and serving as assistant chief of pediatrics.

Dr. Wong's accomplishments include a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the California Institute of Technology, Doctor of Medicine from the University of Southern California, her pediatric residency at Kaiser Permanente and board certification in Pediatrics.

Her career as Neo-pediatrician with Southern California Permanente Medical Group spanned nearly 30 years and has equipped her to save babies and work in the Emergency Room, labor and delivery, Nicu, inpatient and outpatient pediatrics. She is confident as well in caring for adults and seniors having cared for her in laws, grandmother and father all well into their 90’s and currently, her 93 yr old mother.

Dr. Wong was recognized for 5 yrs by Orange County AMA as physician of excellence, and for her dedicated work for obesity prevention and on performance improvement committees. She received awards as resident of the yr and pediatrician of the year. She mentored residents, medical students, nurse practitioners and in the community as well.

Teaching is a passion of Dr. Wong that extends from instructing parents in prenatal health and as they raise their children.
